Case Study / One-page course landing

Bridge Consult Academy

One page, three languages, eighteen modules and no third-party JavaScript at all. The small end of the same practice — and the case that exists because two platform studies were making a five-page job look like the wrong kind of client.

MEASURED ON THE LIVE PAGE

The numbers that matter at this size.

A one-page site is not judged on growth curves; it is judged on whether it opens instantly and says the right thing. So these are the figures worth publishing: what the page carries, and what it deliberately does not.

Counted on the live page. The script figure is third-party JavaScript: there are no external script tags and no analytics, consent or builder runtimes — which is also why the page needs no cookie banner.

Challenge

An online FIDIC programme is a hard thing to sell on a page. The buyer is a contract manager who has already sat through a course that read the clauses out loud, and the only question that matters to them is whether this one is different. Eighteen modules and forty-odd case discussions are the proof — but a list of eighteen items is also the fastest way to lose someone on a phone.

System

One scrolling page, ordered as an argument rather than as a brochure: what goes wrong on site, the chain a claim actually travels, the two FIDIC editions side by side, then the modules, then who teaches it. Editorial serif for the headings, monospace for the structural labels, and a single enquiry action repeated at each point where somebody would be ready to take it.

Outcome

It ships as thirteen scroll chapters on one URL in three languages, with the entire motion and layout done in CSS — there is no third-party JavaScript on the page at all. No cookie banner, no builder runtime, nothing to consent to and nothing to keep updated. The page is the deliverable, and it is finished.

Highlights

Small, and finished.

01

Ordered as an argument, not as a course catalogue.

02

Three languages on one page structure, not three parallel sites.

03

Every effect done in CSS, so the page carries no runtime.

Build logic
01

Structure - decided the page had to argue before it could list, and cut the module table out of the top third.

02

Language - RU/EN/UZ handled in the routing with correct hreflang, so one page structure serves all three.

03

Build - Astro, hand-written CSS, images in modern formats, and a deliberate refusal to add a single script tag.

Visual language

Desert light and graphite; a Playfair Display italic for the one word that carries the promise, Inter for everything operational, and monospaced labels for the structural chrome. The photography does the emotional work so the type does not have to shout — which is what keeps an eighteen-module list from reading as a syllabus.
